Drop Everything and Drive to the Beach!

Mom, Mary and I had our first real family road-trip vacation to the beach last week (Dad couldn't come. He had to work 12 hour days at school, to get ready for his big conference next weekend).

We hopped in the van and drove from Madison, Wisconsin to Madison, Alabama. Mom's teaching us to like road trips, and Mary gives me one of whatever treats Mom hands back to her. Sometimes, she even shares her leap-pad with me... but usually I get a book and just have to watch... The best part is when we stop at a park and get to run around for half an hour, while Mom tried to wipe the peanut butter off my face, and shirt, and hands, and hair.

My cousin's house is the best. The girls are nice, but Baby Michael is the coolest. I get to eat all his cheerios, and blow raspberries on his baby-belly. He really likes me to hold him.

The Gulf of Mexico is really fun. We had a long path to the beach from our campsite, and I got to chase beatles the size of my hand, and birdies the whole way to the beach! Then I got to throw sand at Mary and the girl cousins, and sit in big waves- until the crabs came. Then Aunt Charie tried to catch them, and we got our of the water.

Aunt Amelia got Krispy Kremes for breakfast one morning:) I stole 2 of Mary's after she took one bite... so she decided not to leave them on table.

Here are the sand Angels, before I threw sand on them:)
